Payroll Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION

Snelling Staffing is hiring a Payroll Analyst to work in the Canton Area

  • Weekly pay of $22.00 per hour
  • Hours 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Must have ADP experience and excellent Excel skills.

Background check and drug testing required.

OVERVIEW:

The overall purpose of the Payroll Analyst is to process the payroll and perform all payroll related duties.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

(75%) 1. Payroll and Payroll Related

  • Prepare part-time associates timesheets and hourly timecard labels
  • Prepare, assemble and process bi-weekly payroll and associated reports and spreadsheets
  • Transfer/mail bi-weekly, quarterly, semiannually and annually payroll tax payments, 401K, profit sharing, child support, garnishments and other associate withholdings
  • Update wage information in “Person” database and Visual job costing
  • Set up scanning badges, clock numbers and related information for new hires and temps
  • Report new associates to the State of Ohio
  • Compute quarterly commissions for sales associates and monthly commissions for outside reps
  • Prepare month end Payroll Summary report
  • Prepare and update 941 recap bi-weekly

(10%) 2. Attendance

a. Process absentee slips in “Abra” database and print required bi-weekly reports

b. Prepare Vacation Attendance Plan (VAP) information and reports per schedule

c. Enter attendance transactions in SAGE.

(10%) 3. Year End

  • Prepare schedules and type additional W-2’s. Make necessary copies.
  • Prepare year end-associate benefit statements
  • Prepare all necessary reports for audit review and outside tax agencies

(5%) 4. Miscellaneous

  • Prepare salary/wage rate review information to be included in associate annual evaluation
  • Answer all phone and written employment verifications, wage garnishments and support
  • Prepare monthly sales tax returns
  • Prepare Product Line labor rates annually for Senior Manufacturing Engineer
  • Maintain associate’s payroll files
  • Set up Payroll binders for new year
  • Box files for storage
  • Maintain Payroll records room
  • Perform any other related Accounting related duties.
  • Initiate paperwork for evaluations to supervisors.
  • Preparation of annual benefit statement data.
  • Prepare monthly premium reports and health care cost spreadsheet.
  • Prepare 1095-B and 1095-C forms.

KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge with computers and spreadsheet programs. Knowledge of general accounting principles, math and algebra. Good oral, written, and analytical skills also required. Position requires the ability to handle confidential information. Individual must be detail oriented, trustworthy and mature.
